Alabama White Sauce

Boldly flavored Alabama white bbq sauce made with mayo and well seasoned with dry spices making it the perfect sauce for smoked chicken and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon Horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ tablespoon Hot sauce

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients well in a mixing bowl. Pour into a jar and serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to use.

Notes

Go full flavored quality mayonnaise. Fat is good in this sauce!
This sauce obviously works with smoked chicken including smoked, fried, and grilled. But it also works great with veggies like broccoli, mushrooms, or smoked cauliflower as mentioned earlier.
Most recipes I’ve come across are pretty bland in my opinion, but the spices and flavor ingredients are dialed up quite a bit here. 
Sweetness is always a question with sauces. I don’t like mine overly sweet and actually prefer a more balanced sauce. So if you’re adding sugar/sweetener in any form be mindful of other ratios for ingredients like vinegar, salt, and Worcestershire sauce.
